Dear friends, to allow us to invite you and your clients to the free Kingdom of the town Pezinok. Pezinok was mentioned for the first time in 1208 in the dedication list of King Ondrej II. The first clear note about viniculture in Pezinok dates from year 1295. Wine (most common varieties are Green Veltliner and Rhine Riesling), that was left to the vine dresser used to be sold in wine taverns and pubs. At the end of the 19th century a mobile pub was build behind the town walls. In 1922 Johana SLimáková and her husband František became its owners after their return from America. Thanks to the popularity of the energetic and sympathetic Mrs. Slimáková, the name “U SLIMÁĆKY” became very famous, although officially it was a Slovak- American restaurant. Since then “ SLIMAĆKA” was confronted with lots of good and bad, lot of landlords came and left, until the time when the old family traditions were overtaken by the grandchildren – Ľubka and Dušan.
